Check fuses, not visually but with a tester or meter. Tester will light on back of fuse when fuse is open (ignition on). Meter should either show "0VDC", or "battery voltage" when checking both fuse tabs on the back side of the fuse to ground. Mine is the 2.7 (Tuscani) and it was not easy. I have done several swaps in different vehicles and this one took me 5 days working 3-4 hours a night. Stick a 3/8 ratchet/breaker bar into it to relieve the tension, and pull the belt off one of the pulleys. I can't remember but you may have to remove the tensioner to get the belt off of it, or possibly you can slip the belt past it sideways.
