Check the big end rod bearing cage and make sure that's intact. If the rod bearings are making a clicking sound, they're on the way out and it's likely the crank won't last much longer. The 6100 is being discontinued next spring along with all of the dolmar/makita saws. They are very good 60cc saws but parts/dealership availability will only get worse in the coming years. The intake boot is held on with a piece of wire for gods sake and the carb has rubber doughnuts on it to keep it from flopping around.The 3410 replaces the 310 while the 3510 replaces the 352. Echo's press release for the 3410 says it has 1.7 horsepower. Echo's Non-US websites list the 3510 as having 2.02 horsepower (converting from Kw).
