I like anime, and understandably, I'm interesting in discussions about the medium. Obviously, r/anime is where I first stopped by. And I enjoyed it at first. But then I started noticing a couple of things. Redundancy - There is an abundance of repetive threads and questions.The whole comment section was full of justifications like this, which is mostly why I unsubbed. Don't have the energy to argue a lot these days lol ... What astounds me, though, is that people will go apeshit about half a dozen posts criticizing or just making lighthearted jokes about whites (who objectively don't suffer systemic racism ... I’m an atheist and all, but I saw a post once about a Muslim who got killed by the taliban, and the poster said that the man was killed because he was too dumb to drop his religion, and the commenters all agreed with it. It dried up fast. Now every shitty post on there is just “I’ll just take some funny picture I found on the internet, take (noun) related to something in the picture, and add -omancy to the end of it in the title and it fits ...Just unsubbed from moistcr1tikal because the literal only posts ever are either super creepy photos of complete strangers that have a beard and mildly long hair (images edited slightly to retain some privacy) or this random guy on TikTok live. Genuinly I only screenshotted a handful of these posts..
