Generally laminated bars are cheaper than solid bars. Laminated bars are multiple (3) plys of metal that are brought together. The inner ply is smaller and so the rails are created. His Upstart chain is more banged up out of the box than the loops I got in a 6 pack tightly packaged for shipping. Model : easiest way is to look at any major assembly (like the plastic carb box cover) - the first 4 digits of the part number is the model.
